Why fly thousands of miles overseas to study in a conventional American-style classroom? Global LEAD’s philosophy regarding education hinges on getting students out of the classroom and into the local communities.  Our lessons focus on the history, culture and people of your host country, weaving a vibrant thread through the fabric of your education.  As you embark on your experiential learning adventures, you will tour ancient ruins in Athens, Greece, visit Robben Island with Nelson Mandela’s former cellmate or drink in the indigenous culture of Ecuador from one of the world’s most authentic markets.

During your experience, you will earn six upper-level elective college credits in two courses:  Leadership (and the Arts and Sciences) and Service Learning (and the Arts and Sciences).  For more information, check out the full syllabus.  Our emphasis on experiential learning means that you won’t merely read about leadership and service from textbooks, but you will have the opportunity to practice these skills firsthand by leading a team during the service fieldwork, crafting a personal vision statement and reflecting on your experiences.  Also, our value-driven learning style, memorable experiences and tangible application mean that Global LEAD lessons will stay with you for a lifetime.
